Here, we hope to answer any potential questions about how to get into our species and how our systems work. If you're wondering about our rules, please check out this page here! Q: What is a Soapuppy?
A: Soapuppies are a semi-open species, their premise being critters made of soap and other similar materials! Despite their names, they come in all sorts of different species and variants, and are meant to have limitless posibilities in terms of creation!
We claim no ownership over any of the ideas of our species and are aware that others may have used similar ideas. The Soapuppies group primarily exists to be a creative community and provide fun prompts, events, and giveaways for anyone who wants to partake. If anyone wants to create an OC similar to our species without it being part of our species, they are more than welcome to do so :)
Q: What are Duckies?
A: Duckies are our virtual currency, used to purchase items that go to the creation or redesign of Soapuppies. Primarily, they can be obtained via drawing Soapuppies and submitting the art to art redemption. They can also be earned in higher amounts via event participation or occasional giveaways.
Q: How can I make a Soapuppy?
A: There are a few ways to obtain an MYO slot. First, and most easily, you can collect one free common MYO slot each month. You can also obtain duckies to buy rarer MYOs, add-ons, and additional slots. All of these are available in Sudsy's Shop!
Q: Can I redesign a Soapuppy?
A: Soapuppies are free to redesign. Small changes, such as shifting a few markings/colors, changing accessories or outfits, and changing hairstyles for free. However, if you're wanting to add additional traits or make major design changges, you will need to purchase use redesign items from the shop and submit a redesign request on your Soapuppy's masterlist entry.
Q: I made a Soapuppy before the masterlist was created. What do I do with it?
A: If you have a Soapuppy that existed before the species began to be worked on further, you have two options. One, you may get it added to the masterlist for free and it will be recognized as official. Two, you can choose not to add them, but we ask that the character will not use the species name anymore. No modifications to the character will need to be made other than that.
Q: Can I transfer my Duckies/Soapuppies/Items?
A: Aside from free monthly MYOs and certain event-limited items, you are able to transfer items and characters to other users via trade and gift, however, they cannot be resold for USD unless you paid for them first. If you no longer want a non-transferrable item, you can get in touch with a staff member to have it removed from your inventory.
Q: Can Soapuppies be anthro?
A: Yes, Soapuppies can be anthro, feral, or anything inbetween. They do not need multi-form to be both unless other aspects change in the anthro/feral designs.
Q: I noticed an error in the site/masterlist!
A: If you've noticed that one of the moderators has made a slip up when recording things (i.e. masterlist entries, item/rewards grants) please feel free to notify us and we will work to get it fixed. If you notice an error in the coding of the site itself, please submit a report and it will be looked into!
