“Hey there! I'm Minou, and I’ll be your assistant! What is it you need help with?”
Starting out
Creating an account is as simple as hitting the "Register" button at the top right of your screen!
Input your credentials, then you'll have created an account! Please note your birthday will not be visible by defeault. A user referral is not required and can be left blank if you were not referred.
Once you've created an account, you will need to verify your email -- make sure to check your junk/spam folders as well! After this, you'll notice you will need to link one form of social media. If you had Soapuppies before the site launch, connect the Toyhou.se account they're linked under from the old masterlist. This will have your characters transferred to you automatically! You will be able to change/remove your linked account later.
Now that you're all set up, you may want to change some things in your account settings.
The first segment will allow you to update the information on your site profile.
Avatars should already be cropped, as they cannot be cropped upon uploading.
Your pronouns will show up on your profile, along with next to your username on certain comments and submissions. Do not use this box to input any text aside from pronouns. Doing so will result in a warning and it asking to be removed.
Your profile text will be text that shows up on your user page.
Below this, you'll see a few more settings.
There are four site themes available by default, feel free to click through them and try out the ones you like!

Myos and Design updates
After purchasing an MYO, you will find an item in your inventory with the Slot tag. Click on this, make sure to select the checkmark on which ones you want to open, even if there's only one, then click "Open"
Navigate to your newly created MYO slot. On the sidebar, click "Submit Design", then click "Create Request". You will be taken to a page that looks like this.
The "Comments" tab can be used in a few different ways. If this character is a CBC or based off any media, you will need to disclose that here. If this is an Uncarved Egg, you will need to state the parents here. Any other comments or clarifications can also go here. If you do not have any comments, hit "Save" regardless.
On the "Masterlist Image" tab, upload your character image. Make sure to input the credits at the same time as inputting your image. If you are updating the credits, you will need to reupload the image as well, elsewise you will get an error.
Note that your character image will have to be 2000x2000 or under, or the site will not accept it when we try to upload it.
On the "Add-ons" tab, attach any Trait Adders you may be using with your MYO. If you are not using any additional items, hit "Save" regardless.
In the traits tab, input your character's traits. The extra info is optional, but you will need to use it to specify your characters' species. You can also use it to state any specifics on traits. Paranthesis will be added automatically, so you do not have to add them yourself. These notes should be only a few words long.
Once you've saved everything, you can head back to the Status tab and hit "Submit Request". This will send it into the approval queue. Once your MYO is either approved or sent back to fix something, you will be notified. When your myo is approved, a msaterlist entry will automatically be created for it and added into your inventory.
To submit a design update, navigate to your character's masterlist entry and hit "Update Design" on the sidebar. You will be taken through a similar process as the above. This is also the process you will go through if you simply want to update your character's masterlist image with no design changes.
Once a redesign is approved, your character's masterlist image will be reuploaded. The old masterlist image will be stored in "Images", but the unwatermarked version will no longer be available.
Art redemption and gallery submissions
Navigate to the Gallery page. Here, click the plus sign next to the gallery you want to upload your piece to.
First and foremost, upload your image. If you are submitting writing instead, you may either paste all of the writing into the text box, or put a link to the writing into the box instead. Note: If you are on mobile, you may not have an option to upload an image. This can be fixed by simply selecting the "Request Desktop Site" option in your browser.
Scroll down, and add a title. A description is not required. If your submission requires a content warning, add one under the description box.
On the side, you may notice these boxes
If your piece is a collaboration, you should upload your collaborator's username here. If it is being submitted for art redemption, the rewards will automatically be split between all collaborators.
Other Participants is entirely optional, even if your piece is a gift/trade/commission. This will notify the user that they have been tagged in a gallery submission, and add an indicator of it being a trade/gift/comission into the title.
Scroll down, and add the masterlist numbers of the characters used within the piece. If your piece includes non-Soapuppy characters, you will not have to add anything, but you will need to add the code of all other characters that appear within the piece.
If this is a general gallery submission, you can simply click "Submit" If this is an art redemption submission, click "Add Criterion", then "Character Art", fill out the correct criterion, then hit "Submit". Your art will be added into the queue, and your rewards will be granted shortly after accepting into the gallery.
Note: Criterion can be edited by staff after submission if filled out inocrrectly. If you get a different amount than was originally stated, this is why.
Prompts
Prompts can be found under the World tab. Each prompt will have a prompt, and a details button. Open the details button to see what is expected of the prompt, including minimum requirements and guidelines. Make sure you read and follow by these, elsewise your submission will be rejected!
Once your prompt has been approved, navigate to the Gallery tab, then the prompt gallery. From there, click on submit, and fill out your gallery submission with the correct prompt selected.
Submissions sent to the prompt gallery will need to be approved by a moderator to verify they reach criterion and are appropriate for the site. Once your submission is approved, you will get a notification like this:
After this, copy the link of your gallery submission, then navigate back to the prompt you are submitting. In the URL spot, input the link of your gallery submission. This cannot be an offsite link!
Under rewards, do not input anything unless you are getting a bonus. If you are getting a bonus, only input the amount the bonus counts for. For example, this prompt grants a bonus of 100 Duckies under certain criteria, so 100 Duckies are input.
Tagging characters is not necessary, but can be done.
Event Activities
There are a few activities that are exclusive to events only.Scavanger Hunts:
A scavanger hunt can be started by clicking on the link to one. Once there, you will recieve your first hint. You can also revisit this page to check on how many targets are remaining, and recheck any hints that were previously recieved!Targets can be hidden anywhere, from pages, shops, characters, items, encyclopedia entries, and more. Anywhere text can be input is fair game for a target!
Finding a target will look like this:
Once click on it, you will be taken to a page like this:
Targets on characters can be hidden within places such as the description or notes tab, such as this:
Once you find the final target, you will be notified!
Encounters:
Encounters provide you with a prompt and the option to either choose an action, or to continue. On the encounters page, select an area to explore by either clicking on the area's image, or "explore" button. Wait for this to load, do not click it multiple times or it will take multiple energy points from you. We will not re-grant energy lost this way!
When you click on the area, your encounter will appear. You will either be met with the option to act, or to continue. Continue, or "flavor text" prompts appear at roughly double the rate as acting prompts.
Click on a button to choose your action. Once you've done so, your results will be at the top of the page! Flavor text will always result in a neutral result, but action prompts can result in a neutral, negative (removes an additional energy) or successful (gives you a reward) outcome.
Encounter Energy:
To do encounters, you will need energy. By default, you are given 5 energy points per day. Unused energy points do not carry over to the next day, it will always reset at five. We will not re-grant energy lost this way. Each encounter takes one point. To get more energy, you can use food. This can typically be earned via event participation. Navigate to your food item in your inventory, select the item, then select "Use Encounter Potion". You will now have more energy for more encounters!
